Centering Prayer Opportunity

Meeting in Room 240 

During Sunday School, 9:30-10:30 a.m., a classroom is set aside for silent contemplative prayer following the Centering Prayer approach as developed by Father Thomas Keating.  Bibles and inspirational reading materials are provided to assist in the grounding spiritual process. The time is typically divided into segments for the comfort of the participant:

            20 minute individual silent prayer

            20 minutes of reading and meditation on inspirational resources

You are welcome to come as often or as occasional as you like, the room is available. If you wish to gain more understanding of prayer and the inner journey you are invited to take advantage of the class Journeying into God’s Love (an overview short term course) that is offered on a regular basis, the 2nd Monday Series, or the Passage Meditation group.
