Saving Jesus: Jesus for the Third Millennium.

Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., June 1 through August 24 Room 237

Jesus (or at least his name) has been hijacked by the religious right. Christian leaders are actively working to rescue Jesus (name and all) from the lies, misinformation, disinformation, mutilation, and other forms of distortion of the gospel Jesus lived and preached.

In this DVD based exploration of Jesus for the third millennium we will hear and discuss the insights of such contemporary progressive theologians as: Marcus Borg, Rita Nakashima Brock, John Dominic Crossan, James Forbes, Matthew Fox, Hans Kϋng, Amy-Jill Levine, Rebecca Ann Parker, Helen Prejean, Bernard Brandon Scott, and John Shelby Spong.

The speakers and the discussion should provide an exciting, stimulating theological exploration for those participating. Bob Radford is the facilitator.
