Rev. Ann Willet, Senior Pastor
Rev. Ann Willet was appointed as Senior Pastor at Northaven on February 1, 2021. She is a graduate of Baylor University (B.A.), Texas A&M (M.B.A.), and Perkins School of Theology at SMU (M.Div.) She has served in urban, suburban, and small town settings throughout the North Texas Conference, Prior to Ann's 20 years of ordained ministry, she worked in banking and financial management.
Ann enjoys balancing her leadership skills with worship and preaching. One of her greatest joys is working with our gifted staff and lay leadership toward our Northaven's mission. She is committed to taking the Bible seriously while not taking it literally, and takes great pleasure in exploring creative ways to interpret scripture through preaching.
Ann is deeply committed to progressive theology and an inclusive approach to building a faith community. She is proud to represent "the church you didn't think was possible" by welcoming those who have been harmed by Christianity. Ann is a strong and vocal advocate for full inclusion of all persons in the faith community and works with other affirming churches toward lasting change.
Ann shares life with her husband, Loren Willet, three adult daughters, and two grandchildren. She is a Dallas County Master Gardener and a member of the Texas Native Plant Society.
